Rooted in Wales, grown in Montana. The front of this hoodie carries the Field Studies Sanctuary Flower Emblem, a blossom rising from deep roots. The back carries a Welsh proverb that honors the seed: “O’r fesen fach y tyf y dderwen fawr,” which means “from the little acorn grows the great oak.”

The oak holds a cherished place in Welsh tradition, and the Welsh word for druid, derwydd, is linked to the word for oak. The Sanctuary’s roots were growing long before they came into view, and this hoodie honors that discovery along with the grandmothers whose strength travels through every generation. It welcomes a time when the matriarchy is seen, heard, and given room to do what she does best.
